Villa Swimming Pool & Outdoor Seating Tiling Details – Dubai

Tiling and stone detailing for the external works of a private villa in Dubai: a swimming pool, a raised pool deck with a sunken seating area and fireplace, a water pond, and the entrance veranda. The set starts with a fully dimensioned external plan. Every 1200×600 mm floor tile and every 1200×380 mm pool coping piece is set out from fixed grid lines, and finished floor levels and pool depths are marked throughout.

Long sections through the pool, the deep and shallow ends and the seating area show how the cladding, coping and steps work together. Enlarged details at 1:10 and 1:20 cover the pool steps, bull-nose and pencil-polish edges, glue-fixed tiles on concrete bedding, the fireplace cladding and the built-in seating.

Deliverables: external flooring plan, sitting-area plan, three long sections and four construction details. All were coordinated with the design intent so the tiling contractor could install with very little cutting on site.
